When someone suffers a sudden cardiac arrest, their life may be saved with a shock with an AED within three to five minutes. The first responder must be able to assess the situation, call 911, run for the AED and get it back to the victim and place the pads to activate, all within a three to five minute time frame. For every minute that passes without defibrillation, a victim's chance for survival decreases 10%. (661) 331-9157 http://www.oliviasheartproject.org/

Second Star to the Right was originally founded in January of 2010 by Briana Schechter and her sister Rachelle Griffith to raise funds for pediatric cancer research and for local families battling pediatric cancer. Rachelle’s daughter, Kayla Blair, was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer known as AT/RT at the tender age of 21 months old and was treated at St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Sadly, she lost her battle but gained her angel wings on January 10, 2009.
