Bakersfield's Little Free Libraries - Wendy's Words Libraries and More

Bakersfield is home to over 38 Little Free Libraries. Started 2 years ago to honor the late Wendy Wayne, a long time children's advocate, our libraries are totally free and operate on a take a book leave a book premise. The libraries are located throughout Kern County in both business and residential locations. Our goal? To improve the literacy rates in Kern County, establish a sense of community and spread the love of reading! How you can help? -Share our Facebook page so more people know this awesome project exists. -Visit the libraries and take a few books -Donate books new or used we aren't picky.
